Vulcanii care împânzesc vârfurile Carpaților Orientali par a fi niște giganți adormiți sau stinși. Totuși, inima lor bate încă, iar noi putem simți respirația lor de sute de mii de ani în timp ce stăm pe movile, gustând apele minerale carbogazoase, învăluindu-ne în mirosurile sulfuroase.
